Just got my new F150 short box and want to get a tonneau cover. The hard cover is too costly for me, what brand do you recommend for the soft? Or is the hard cover the only way to go??
Also, any recommendations regarding having the 3M protective film for the hood?
Anyone you recommend for having custom seat covers made?
I am in the brampton/mississauga area.
Thanks in advance

I would recommend Van & Truck world. They have been good to me. I have the Extang Trifecta it is a great easy to use soft cover. What ever you do, do NOT by a soft cover with the snaps they are a pain in the A$$ in the winter.

I just put a hard roll up one on my Super Duty. It's a Truck Covers USA cover from AutoAnything in the States. I did pay a bit for it. Luckily it was on sale (30% off). I went with that one because I haul a fifth wheel and I don't want anyone hacking through with a knife when I have the cover closed.

+1 on what tyler said.... the button snaps are a huge pain in the a$$ in the winter!
We have the Ford soft tonneau cover... it's like the hard cover (it folds) but it's not nearly as expensive or heavy.
As for leather seats, I've heard good things about Katskins. They aren't seat covers that go over the original seats, you take the cloth off and put these on instead over the seat. Not sure if they have a kit available for the 09 F-150 yet though (you'd have to check).
A review from a Hyundai forum (popped up when I was searching for the Katskins website):

I purchased synthetic leather seat covers from a company in California
I have had them since 2006 and they look new, they are great they don’t move and fit like a glove
You don't need any special tools just install over your original seats (it was difficult because the fit is so tight)
The company name is Iggee
If you don’t find what your looking for give them a call, when I purchased my seat covers they did not have my car listed (year) and I called them they matched the car make and model and colour and installed a logo on the back all for $195 US

I'll put in a good word for the extang trifecta - I'm on my third one (third truck also)
I have the 3M coating on my new truck and love it. Don't get it done at the dealer, you'll pay twice what it should be. Had mine done at Krown Burlington at a very reasonable price. Bit of a drive for you but the savings will be worth it.
I put a set of Wet Okole seat covers in my new truck, they truly fit like a glove and are waterproof so cleaning is a breeze.

PIcked my crew shortbox up last week. $1000 free accessories, so got the ford flip cover which is made by bakflip. Looks great. I would of bought it in U.S if didnt have the freebie. If you want bakflip the best price I found was $616 U.S free shipping. Ship it to Niagara falls NY and pick it up and spend a hr installing it before you go home.

FYI to anyone interested. Just ordered a Trail fx bed mat #522 for 2010 crew shortbox. Amazon has them for $51 and free shipping!!! Already have bedliner but its hard on the knees and stuff slides so this at least will keep stuff from sliding around and its a screaming hot deal!!

Amazon.com has this item for US addresses only. Did you order from Amazon.ca?

yes its U.S. I ordered from autoanything.com for $51 and free shipping. I ship all my stuff to the U.S and pick it up and avoid high shipping fees, customs and duties.
Drive down next week and pick up my stuff and come home :)
Keep a mailbox in U.S for this reason

I have the Extang solid fold, great cover easy to use and very safe for your stuff, extremly hard to break into. Seat covers, why?? Keeping the the interior in new condition for the next owner, enjoy it yourself and clean when needed.
I just got a set of seat covers off e-bay from the Seat Cover Factory (exactseatcovers is their online name) for front and back seats shipped for about $125 Can. Suprisingly good for the price.
I also got the Freedom Trifold tonneau cover made by Extang. So far I'm liking it. Apparently it is the same as their Trifecta but with shorter warranty and and bunch cheaper. Got it from Canadian Tire for the same price as a roll-up one on e-bay.

Why don't you send "Blackstock Ford" a email and tell them the truck you have and year and what your after. Us Fordtough members get a discount. I just ordered a Trifecta cover from them and go get it on the 20th
The tonneau cover wasn't on sale at Can Tire. They didn't have it in stock (as usual) but brought it in for $399.
Access Roll Up. Fits and looks great Van and truck world.
