Hey guys,

Those of you who were at the last Ten site gtg remember Shawn's truck looking like this.

He has finally finished his 88 to 96 front end conversion with his own custom touches added in. Tonight was his first time out since bolting it all back together, so he came to the Woodbridge Cruise.

Here are some pics from tonight of the new and definitely improved look.:H)

Big improvement!!!!!!!!!! So much cleaner/smoother now..and a great yellow. That truck is an f150 right? It looks like that's what is on the badging in the first pic, but size wise it looks like a ranger. The other thing is you said the conversion was from a 88 to 98. That frontend looks like the 92-96 f-series. That's why i'm confused on the truck size...overall, it is great

Actually the badge says F351 I think :icon_lol:, in reference to the motor. Great job Shawn..looks even better and I bet it won't overheat now on long trips with more airflow.

The truck started life as a basically stock 1988 F150 and looked like this.
http://fordtruckworld.tenmagazines.com/gallery/Sportruk/36075.jpg

He has chopped the roof 3",shaved the handles, antenna, drip rails and fabbed up full air ride with independent rear suspension out of a T-Bird Turbo Coupe. Fabbed up the functional shaker hood, custom fabbed a smooth wiper cowl to cover the wipers and installed a built 408 stroker under the hood.

I'm pretty sure I made a mistake and it may be the 95 front, but whatever year it is, it is the front end of the first gen Lightning.

Hey... I'm a GM guy. :icon_razz:

Gordon told me he was doing the swap. Sucks you're a GM guy! We just pulley a blown 350 out of an 87 S10. Once again a Ford guy coming to the rescue of a GM owner!
