I park my truck on a slight incline in my driveway ..
Ive noticed a few times i go to start my truck and go .. it's showing that i have no to little gas left. EVEN though i know i had more than 1/4 left in the tank.
If i start driving, 10 - 15 minutes in it goes back up to what it should be.
Is anyone else with an 09 experience this at all ... ?
its because your parked on an incline...the fuel isn't level in the tank tricking the sender into thinking the fuel level is lower then it actually is, happens all vehicles

So it takes the sender 15 minutes to correct itself?
Should this not happen as soon as im on level ground ?
ive noticed this more in my 09 than ever before .. it seems quite sensitive --- prob. they changed the location of the sender ..
does not take much of an incline either ..
the delay is normal otherwise the gauge would be bouncing all around all the time ..

I know its not a 09 but I know my 05 does it regularly. The tank reads up to a 1/4 lower than it is for sometimes a day and then miraculously it goes back up. Is it really common when your just a hair under half a tank by chance that is when mine does it most often?

Personally it sounds normal.
We live on a street with a incline.. all of our vehicles have done that..
dodges, chevs, and fords. prolly 10 vehicles..
