View Full Version : Fuel Pump ?
Was going to install a GSS 250 (190 L High Volume) in one of the fuel modules
in my 94 F150 but figured I check the pump operation first. I put about 10 gal. in the tank and then bypassed the relay and jumped with a wire. The stream of fuel coming out of the hose from the tank was not a solid stream but aerated, so my question is should I be concerned about this and not do the install, I hooked up a pressure gauge to the line out and it went to 70psi and stayed there.

how was the outlet side of the fuel was it aerated also?the inlet hose may have been the wrong size or had a pin-hole.
Well the fuel tank is back in and the fuel gauge is working so far so good, put 23 lt in each tank and will take for a ride and see if the rear tank still crossflows into the front (put new module case in with the check valves) had removed from old module as per information from NLOC page then found out that person was only using one tank anyways (eliminated the front one) so check valves were not requirered then. Then I will try the front tank to see if it does not crossflow to the rear one (190 L in front and 125 L in rear) just to find out if the check valves in the rear module are going to be ok with the higher pressure pump in the front.
Still have to actually check the P.S.I. at the fuel rail for both pumps.
Well just got back from a test ride, I have no Cross-Flow issues between tanks, the gauge works on both tanks now, 190 L in front and 125 L in rear (soon to be another 190 L). Now for the GOOD NEWS, pushed the OD button off, at 30 km and just buried the BIG Pedal, finally got out of it @ :icon_twisted:180km - 5600rpm, we are BACK.

good to hear Kirk. At 180 I'm pulling 4200rpm in 3rd gear. Sometimes it's good to have 3.08's lol
This is true have to like the lesser RPM, saves some Money lol, you going to St Thomas next week-end ? If I go it will be for the Real Street, Friday evening and maybe Bracket.

no we're trying to get my buddy's stang ready for Windsor Weekend. We built our motors side by side in his garage and we're waiting to compare who has the best setup
