Anyone who's removed a [newer] Ranger front bumper knows just how bogus that crossmember is, its no wonder it let go. You gotta use a hitch or proper mounted tow point for sure if you're going to pull anywhere close to that hard. I have a front receiver hitch and refuse to pull with anything else than it, I'm even considering removing the factory tow points just so that I won't ever be tempted to use them.. LR
