Heater Fan Speed

Hi

Just replaced my heater resistor as the fan would only operate on high speed. Now I have the fan blowing in all positions however there only appears to be 3 speeds Is that correct even though there are 4 positions. One speed at LO a higher speed on the next 2 positions (sounds the same) and then the highest speed on HI.

Could someone confirm if this is correct or could I have a faulty resistor.

if the resistor burnt out it could of damaged the wiring or the switch itself(known concern of switch conn melting)
