2009 "Just Curious" Questions

I'm the proud new owner of an '09 FX4, Black Lux Screw, this is my 5th F150. Love this truck but I noticed a few things...

To the left of where the Trailer Brake Controller would go there are 3 slots, do they serve any purpose? Secondly, my side mirror seems to have a tinted middle part, with a half inch border of regular mirror, is this part of the heated function?

the slots would be a coin holder,the tinted part of the mirror is for reflection.

Thanks, I don't think the slots hold coins, at least not very well, they are horizontal just in front of the ignition switch, looks kinda like a vent or something like that.

i'm just curious.. does your truck tell you the temp for side the truck?
could be a vacuum vent to read the air temp inside truck?

i'm just guessing?

Sounds like you have an auto-dimming side mirror. I have one as well with the tint on it. Do you find it's blurry? On both my driver side mirror and my rear view mirror the bottom part of the mirror is blurry and it kinda bugs me, but the dealership hasn't done anything on it.

Yeah mine is blurry too, like a double image. I suppose thats a result of how the auto dimming works.

Just an update on the blurry mirror... The dealer ordered in a new mirror and replaced it, much better!! Cheers to the service department!
