How soon as anyone one towed a trailer after getting new truck, I;ve got 1200 k's so far and want to take trailer camping end of next week. Owners manual said you can tow after 1600k"s . Anyone done before . I;ve got a 4.6, 3v, 6sp, supercrew, 4x4, only going to tow for about 3 hours one way on relatively flat country.:icon_question:

What rear end do u have?
and size of trailer? (lbs fully loaded) and cargo weight?

You don't want to load up your engine too much before it's fully broke in.

3.55 gears, the trailer a 21ft, lightweight( dry@3200lbs) may add 1500lbs tops with us when we go

:happy-smiley-541:I managed to get to 1604k's like my manual said, just in time to tow the camper for holidays. Man what a difference from the 05 with the 4.6, I guess its a combo of the new 6 speed and 4.6 3v that makes the difference. I read some have been complaining of tranny shifting too much, I thought it was darn near pretty 100% the way it worked. Lots of power leaving stop signs and real nice being able to keep it at the speede and rpm I wanted. All in all I'M real happy I got the 09 nowD:)
