I have a 99 Fx4 F150 5.4, I just took it in the shop and they say that I need a new rearend cause theres kind of a humm when driving down the hwy at higher speeds, they called P&G In North Bay and they quoted 800$ for it, does anyone know of other used parts yard around North Eastern Ontario. Or is it better to just bring it in the shop and rebuild it??
Thanks,

don't buy used. Never know what kind of idiot had it before you and how much they abused it

I wouldn't recommend a used rear end, no telling how long it will last.
On an aside, a 99' FX4? Pretty sure the FX4 was introduced in 2002. Not that it matters.

For $800 you can prolly get a brand new one. My trutrac cost just over $1000, but that was for the rear end, gears, install kit, fluids, taxes. Pig&Gig are always pricey, I should know, the Bay is my hometown.
