Hi all, I am in need of some help, hoping that someone may be able to shed some light and save me some trouble shooting time.

I have an '02 FX4 Supercrew 5.4L.

Last night I turned the lights on - no tail lights, no front clearance lights, no dash lights. Headlights - high/low/fog - all work properly. Brakes, signals. back up, interior, and the under hood lights all work properly.

This is where it gets exciting, turn the light switch off and the headlights stay on. Key off, the headlights stay on (with switch off), and function like they were still turned on, highs/lows/fogs. Clearance and tail lights are still out.

Disconnect the battery, reconnect with the switch off and the headlights stay out, until you turn the switch on again - same symptoms as above. Disconnect the battery again and they go out. Reconnect with the switch off and they stay out, until the switch is turn on again.

:icon_confused:Lather, rinse, repeat.:icon_confused:

Thoughts? Anyone come across this before. TIA

did you check the fusefor park lamps(f1-6 15a bjb)also does the truck have a trailer plug wires could be shorted there, also the 97-03 f150 had issues with the multi function switch wiring(signal switch)comming out of the connector, you can test this by tilting wheel up/down while trying signals and lights to see if makes any change.

Fuse is good, yes trailer tow pack, but I've ruled it out. I think it may be the switch at this point.
