relaychatter

I would appreciate some help understanding a recent issue with my truck if anyone can help.
About 7 weeks ago i started hearing clicking sounds UNDER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER NEAR STEERING COLUMN when i turned off the ignition. This progressed to clacking sounds from the relays.Itook it to Ford and they had me take the battery back and get a new one underwarranty because it would not charge So i did and the relays were swaped out fro new ones. worked for a couple of days until the clicking after turning off ignition started to come back
Last friday i went to start the truck and nothing happened but the relays started chattering again. I eventually boosted the battery and was able to drive it for awhile. The next morning the same thing happened I COULDN'T BOOST FROM ANOTHER BATTERY SO I USED A BOOSTER PACK AND GOT IT TO START AND DROPPED IT OFF TO THE DEALER OVER THE WEEKEND. So, I AM WONDERING IF SOMETHING IS DRAINING THE BATTERY(Sorry about the cap locks) or if some other function of the vehicle might be at fault? My laymans thought is that there is a short somewhere which is sapping the battery. Any thoughts?
