Hi Everyone,

What is the widest tire that can be put on the stock 22" rim for the 2010 Harley Davidson F-150. I was looking at the Cooper Zeon LTZ but they only have one size for the 22" tire. Could 305-40-22 be done or is that pushing it?

The stock tire is 275-45-22.

You won't have a problem with a 305 width tire at all.

I run the 305/40/22 Scorpians in the rear and the 275/45/22 Scorpians in the front on my HD.
I like haveing a little more rubber on the road in the rear for traction and have had zero issues with them on my stock 22" HD rims and they work out to about the exact same overall height as the 275's.

So you think from your experience if I tried to go with the 305/40/22 on the front as well, I'd have rubbing issues?

Ford never put the correct size tire on our 22 inch rims.I kept noticeing the speed was off according to my gps.So I never liked the scorpion tires anyway so I put new tires on the truck size 285/45/22 and now my gps is right on with the speedo perfectly.I did a little checking with my friend from ford and sure enough our trucks were suppose to have 285/45/22 on them but instead got 275/45/22 due to a tire deal gone bad for ford.

Would a 305-45-22 still fit or would the extra diameter on the tire cause me some rubbing.

305 will rub in the front.
I have the perfect tire package for sale. The widest tire you can buy!

Staggered fit for that HOT-ROD look. Same rolling circumfrence tires suitable for AWD applications. These tires have about 10K on them.
Make me an offer!

I just read on another posting that someone mentioned that the 305s call for a wider wheel than the stock wheel (which I believe is 8.5 or 9") and they would wear down the middle quickly if the rims width is smaller than what the tire size calls for.

So if I put on either the 305-45-22 or 305-40-22 am I going to be looking at prematurely wearing out some expensive tires?

285/45/22 on your stockers and your done... If you want a fatter tire buy some aftermarket bigger wheels.

Well, I finally made a decision and went with the Cooper Zeon LTZ 305-40-22s. No rubbing problems at all.

The are roughly the same as the factory Pirellis. They were real low profile too, so I have nothing softer to compare the ride with.
