On my 2000 Ex,on the rear passenger side quarter panel, the plastic molding around the wheel well has a split in it from a little mishap. The dealer wants almost $600. for a new one. Is there a way to repair this with fiberglass? There was no damage to the actual body panel, just the Arizona Beige plastic cladding.
Is there any parts places that I could order one from cheaper than the dealer? Thanks

From my experience, it's almost impossible to get fiberglass resin to stick to that kind of plastic. To repair it, it generally needs to be plastic welded.

This may be worth checking out:

Just a follow up, Iwas able to weld the plastic together and then I filled the uneven part with a plastic filler. It's sanded and primed now I just need to paint it. But there's no paint code for the plastic cladding on the vehicle sticker. Does any one know what the code is for the plastic cladding? I don't know if it's Arizona Beige or another color. Thanks, George
