Just wondering why you left the stock air ducting in the truck ? Other than that your mods are clean and easy. Keep plugging away at it and you will have it the way you want it.

make a tin box around the air cleaner and have it hook up to the air inlet in the fender or the breather on the rad support so it get cool air, and not the hot air that under the hood.

Well I got some more work done on the truck. I found a bumper on kijji for 75 with a valance and it was the all chrome bumper I wanted. So I bought it and hear is how it went on

first step. remove the old bumper

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/nobumper2.jpg

step 2. Cut off the shitty welded on mount off the old bumper. It should of been bolted and no welding. Some people I tell ya.

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/bumperweld.jpg

step 3. wire brush and paint mounts

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/bumpermount.jpg

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/mountspainted.jpg

Step 4. Put mount on new bumper no pics. but hear is the back side of the new bumper. it came rocker guraded!

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/newbumper.jpg

The old bumper

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/oldbumper.jpg

Fixed the plate it was bent pretty bad. look in my first pic

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/fixedplated.jpg

Step 5 Line it up to the truck.

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/readytoinstill.jpg

Its on. it turned out awsome has only 1/8 inch gap all around. My dad got it perfect.

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/on2.jpg

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/on3.jpg

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/on4.jpg

Just to compare the diffrent look a bumper can make

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/grillon.jpg

Second job. We got finished. The mounts for my running boards were broken from rust. So my dad made new ones

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/brackets1.jpg

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/brackets2.jpg

The new metrial is 3 times thicker. And I can jump up and down on them now. Not bad for $7

STAY TUNED.....

Thanks you all for the good comments. I got a lot of work done on it. I finished the cold air intake by making a bracket to keep it from boucning around. I got my Cobra 19 hooked up. And I painted my rad criddle black. I also got a new transmassion installed. Truck is now back on the road still have a few more things to do. hope to have every thing done by end of september. But I am happy with it for now. its like a whole new truck with the new trans.

Well its been a while since my last update on the project. Havnt got to much done on it. But I decsided to make my running boards diffrent. by putting a piece of dimond plate on them. Thanks lilbigtruk for the dimondplate.

Before

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/100_1080.jpg

After

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/100_1073.jpg

Then my tires were getting pretty bad. ( Well on the back ) I was hoping to wait it out to find 32 x 11.5 but when I got a 2 inch piece of metal throw my left rear tire. I didnt have much of a choice.

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/100_1076.jpg

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/100_1075.jpg

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/100_1071.jpg

So Looking on kijiji I found a set of 4 31 x 10.5 roughriders for $400 paid $375 the tires are almost new all 4 have the nibs and the white letters are blue still.

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/100_1092.jpg

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n105/yongster_2006/100_1093.jpg

Thats it for now all I have left to do is put on my hood scoop and built a light bar.
