I have a 2010 F150 Max Tow with the 5.4 and pull an 8500# trailer with it.I just did 7000kms pulling and IMO the truck did well.I hear the ecoboost is even better for towing than the 5.4.Towing a big trailer like this with a half ton means you are definitely going to suck back the gas and you'll more than likely be in the slow lane going uphills.I've been up some pretty steep hills with my trailer and was still able to do 80kmh.Remember the diesels will pass you.
I would be careful that your trailer does not exceed the 11300 rating for safety reasons.You are already very close.Make sure to set your equalizer hitch up properly as well.
