Question Tri-Care Extended Warranty

Hi.
I'm near the 60k mark on my FX4 and I have inquired at where I purchased about getting an extended warranty for it.

The dealer indicated I can get Tri-Care 6 yr 120k - bumper to bumper, no deductable warranty for my truck.

So actually it is another 60k or 6 years, which ever comes 1st.
The amount I drive it will probably be the time before mileage, especially with the warmer weather here and it is cruisin' season in my Mustang. (no Bill 203 for me)

Anyone have any extended warranty on their truck?
Do you find it worth while?

Looking for your input.
Thanks!

Well I put it on both the truck and the escape..

I bought my stratus about 5 yrs ago.. 2months after purchasing.. the transmission blew.. common problem apparently.. (main diff pin fell out and the gears went thru the case) It was $3600 to fix.. I was just approved for a $5000 to trade the car in for a truck.. but had to use the money for the trans instead of the truck..

Ever since then.. I knew I was gunna get a reputiable warranty thru a dealer..

Although my parents bought a Lubrico warranty once.. and they stuck to the book for the maintance and still got jipped when the transmission went on their Ford Aerostar..

Subscribing, this could be useful info if the supercrew is still around at the three year mark.

I put the Premium Care on my F250 when I bought it. The truck had just under 60k on it so I figured I might as well get it while I could. The only problem I've had with the truck I never put under warranty because I didn't have time to wait to get it booked in

I had a front wheel bearing go bad but I couldn't get it into a dealership quick enough as I needed the truck, so I got the parts and fixed it myself. New inner and outer bearings and races as well as the seal all done in my driveway and I finished about 1/2 hr before a fresh 8" of blowing snow hit.

Ahh I understand now..

I forgot we had the alternator and rear sway bar links replaced on the Ford five hundred but it was covered under the 3yr/60k factory warranty

Oh ya an update.

The warranty that was suggested by the dealer I purchased is not necessarily supported / honoured at all FoMoCo dealers. I would have to pay up front at another dealer (possibly) and then submit a claim and wait for them verify if they CARE to pay back, to get my $$s back. - NO THANKS.

I did an unsolicited question at the sponser dealer from here and checked out the FoMoCo site on warranties to verify.

I purchased the Ford ESP - Premium care. (actually worked out in my favour)

That was the mistake i made after the purchace. Now i'm stuck going to this one dealer where i purchased my truck. Lessoned learned. But it's a good way for that dealer selling the tri care to make sure you keep coming back to them only.
