Stupid driver rant

Okay... so I need to explode over this and sorry for ranting, but rather here than to the people at work.

I'm on my way to work this morning... grab coffee at my usual Timmy's and realize that I've forgotten my wallet. Well, I'm on my way to a specialist appointment (wrist surgery from a bike accident) and realize I need my Health card. So I head back towards my house.

Coming down my street, which is a major street in the subdivision... 1/2 a block from my house and an idiot in a small POS car comes screaming out onto the road from the side street... I'm in 2WD and my tires aren't the best at stopping... going, yes, stopping, not so much.

So I swerve as he is stopped right across my lane, but there is a car coming the other way who managed to get stopped... If I keep going, I'm going to hit him, and not the retard that came flying into the street...

So... I aim for the corner and luckily the city plows the sidewalks out to the corner so people can cross the street...and I shoot the gap, launching myself up into the house on the corner's yard... coming to rest about 10 before turning their house into a Drive-Thru.

The idiot that came flying out into the street immediately high tails it out of there, and doesn't even bother to check to see if I'm okay, or stuck etc.

There was a lady walking her dog coming down the sidewalk, and luckily was a house back from the corner when this happened, or I would have run her down!! She actually asked me if I was okay... all I could say was "WHAT AN IDIOT!!"

Dropped the truck into 4WD and powered my way off the front lawn and back out onto the road.

The truck can handle it, and luckily I didn't hit the 6' high snowbank and was able to get through it alright... but here is my issue:

I've lived in Northern Ontario for a good chunk of my life... Kenora where it is freezing cold and everything is ice... and Sault Ste. Marie where it's the snow belt and they get dumped on.

Why is it that people in S. ON. are idiots and for the most part don't know how to drive in this weather?? It's not like it's the first snow storm of the year FFS!!

Also, if that happened, and I avoided driving over him... Because had I not swerved I would have T-boned the driver's door... why wouldn't you at least stop to see if the other drive from the accident you "almost" caused was okay??

Okay... sorry, I feel a little bit better.... but I'm still going to look for that idiot in my neighbourhood.

Next, I'll probably have the police showing up at my door because I tore up the neighbours yard!! Wouldn't that just finish this off nicely??

I feel your pain. I've put the EB into a few snow banks to avoid being hit a few times this year. Scary thing is, we're just getting into the snowy season.

I have a friend (female) who drives a 98 F150 short box, lifted with oversize tires and a bull bar on it.... she accurately describes it like this:

"I believe that you should be allowed to ram, or drive 1 person off the road per day!! It would relieve stress, and it would thin the herd!!"

Needless to say... she's one of the coolest chicks I know. LOL

Great line.... the best part was the look on her face as her BMW fender was getting caved in and her fancy 20 inch rims getting bent. it was worth the pain dealing with ICBC
insurance

She was about 4 feet tall and spoke no english and when the RCMP showed up he started laughing. I think she did about 3 grand damage to her car and mine came to 700 bucks only because I got a new running board and some paint detaling done to remove the few marks. I drove home thinking I love my truck and she got to ride with a 300 pound tow truck driver and his dog...
