What did you pay for exhaust

Like the title says, I just got the system done on my truck with hiFlows and magnaflow muffler and stainless 3" all the way back. Seemed expensive to me, but was quoted about the same everywhere else I went as well. Just wondering a what others have paid to have their systems done at a shop

Garage
What are you looking for exactly ? Installation cost, or parts plus installation ?

Seems expensive to you is fine, but.....um...... you're the only one who knows what you paid, because you never actually said what it cost you.

No point of reference to even comment on what's expensive or not without knowing what you paid.

Well stainless is expensive. Especially custom bending.

I would say average cat-back system in stainless is 600-1200 depending on the style, brand, etc. plus install.

i have had a few things done locally in edmonton.

first was a catback built for harley. i supplied that i got online for like 400$ about 650 locally plus install. then it was 300$ for the scammers in edmonton to basically just cut old out catback and weld new in. thrifty muffler on 156 st north of 111 ave

then i bought long tube headers online for 500 shipped. locally wanted 800-900 plus install of a couple hundred.
i installed in my garage for cost of parts. then drove to a different exhaust shop 81st/118 ave right by rexall place. they charged me 150$ to install 2 feet of pipe to connect the mid pipes of the new headers to the already installed cat back

i thought both installs were expensive for the little work done. maybe cause i didn't buy the parts from them. but i like saving hundreds of $$ instead of buying locally.

I've had 2 trucks done all custom. Both around $400 to cut out the old stuff and replace everything from the muffler back. A new muffler, dual 2.5" pipe all the way back to some nice tips was in the $400 range both times.

Having just picked the truck up I am even less impressed now, system ended up not being stainless as I had originally negotiated. And the mark up I was charged on parts is ridiculous, I will never buy locally again for parts.

At least it sounds awesome, and the installation and welds look really good.

Lesson learned though

so 4 cats replaced with 2 high flows?
if thats the case it dosnt seem so bad. i would assume cats are a couple hundred and the muffler couple hundred. labor in Edmonton area is ridiculous.
