CAI and Programmer

Hello all - newbie from Calgary just joined today.
I have a K&N 66 series CAI on order but after looking at F150 Online forums concerned that I need to buy a programmer before I install the filter. I was planing on doing the upgrades in stages ... Roush exhaust vs the Magnaflow exhaust that was posted on this site - dual exhaust out the side behind tire.
Any comments?

Hello there.
What truck do you have?
With just a filter and CAI you should be okay with out a programmer.

Thats what I was thinking. I have a FX4 5.4L Auto 4x4. If I go with the exhaust and programmer and then programmed back to stock settings when truck in for service will this cause problems with Ford?

Unless Ford is specifically looking at your programme (tune-up, engine problem etc.) I don't think they would even know or care. But it shouldn't be a problem to set it back to stock when you go in. The CAI and exhaust will be harder to hide,LOL!

First of welcome to FordTough.ca

As soon as you change the exhaust it voids only exhaust warranty, same goes for Intake,
If you burn out valves or pistons they will check your PCM to see when it was alter last time, so always return to stock, before going to the dealer
Other than that you are all covered
