With heavy heart

I'm sure a few of you have received this e-mail but I will post it here for those that knew him

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that a mutual friend of ours - Kenneth Cutting - passed away today (August 11, 2008) at approximately 5:10pm (MDT). He entered the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton approximately a month ago suffering from a variety of ailments that could be attributed to a combination of declining heart and kidney efficiency. I have no further information at this time.
I have known Ken since we were both in Junior High School (over 30 years!) and in the days prior to his hospital admission he forwarded a list of friends and acquaintances that he felt should be contacted in the event of his death. I am sorry to be the one to pass on this bad news, but with all the emotional turmoil his mother, brothers and sisters are experiencing at this time, I hope you understand the situation.

I have just talked with his mother, Margaret, and she informed me that funeral/memorial arrangements have not yet been finalized but should be in a day or two. Please expect a follow up from me once all the plans fall into place. If you have any questions, or wish to get in touch with the family directly, you can either email me or call me at the number below.

Ken Cutting

October 28, 1961 – August 11, 2008

A Funeral Service is being held in the memory of a good friend, brother and son, Ken Cutting, on Saturday August 16, 2008 at the Fort Saskatchewan Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon Church) - 9901-93 Street in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Viewing will begin at 10am, with the service starting at 11am. A light lunch will be served immediately following, beginning at approximately Noon-12:15pm.

Tom, thanks for starting this thread.

For those that did not know Ken - he was committed to the Alberta Ford Chapter and enjoyed the friendships he made on the site.

Ken always had an opinion and was never afraid of sharing it. He also loved Fords and hated Dodges - something he made clear whenever he got a chance.

He loved parmesan cheese.... something I bugged him about endlessly.

He was a big man with a big heart and he's left a big hole that will be hard to fill.

Rest in peace Ken and have fun driving that F250 in heaven - I''m sure it will be white - just like you preferred.
