SEMA

Just got confirmation that I will get passes for SEMA and participate in sending updates from the show via social networking (forums etc).

Now I just have to hitchhike my butt and digital camera to Vegas and I'm all set.

Anyone else planning to attend (Mike)?

You betcha ( 4th year in a row ), I've been booked since July. Were staying at the Imperial Palace. We Fly in on Monday morning and are staying till Friday night. My friend and I plan to be at the show for around 8am Tuesday morning to get pictures of the cars out front before all the yahoo's get there, most likely spend 2 days there ( the first and third day ). Wednesday were doing the big tour out to Hoover and out to the Route 66 to Oatman AZ then back thur Laughlin, your more then welcome to come along.
Are you coming down alone or is your wife coming down as well, and where ya stayin and when ya arriving??

Well have to get together before you hitchhike down. lol

Not sure as yet on any details - I have to figure out my work schedule and make arrangements for travel and hotel. I know for sure that Wednesday would be focused on SEMA only business. I'll PM you when I know a bit more.

Sounds good, if you can show up at the show on Tuesday theres half as many people there. All the heavy traffic there starts Wednesday. We'll be focused on the hot rod/ restoration / tools / wheels and tires/ of course the car show area out front / 4x4 / and new product area. With the new hot rod shop now I hope to find some good contacts and talk to some of the suppliers that I already deal with.
Show up an hour before the show opens so you can take picture, the show outside will make your head spin.
Also if you book a hotel thats within walking distance of the tram all the better, parking is expensive and hard to find sometimes. I always pay for parking but I'm there at 7:30am so there is no problem finding spots.

Hey Paul if your looking for some deals on travel, I have had pretty good luck with Expedia. Direct flights ( Westjet ) and hotel on the strip ( Imperial ) for only $525c/pp tax in. A car rental was $170c tax in from Monday to Friday.

I've used Expedia before and have already made Vegas one of my preferred trips on the site. I now need to figure out my work schedule to determine if I can set aside the time to go.

I'm sure between Paul and I we should be able to get pic's of all the vehicles. I think last year I took somewhere around 350 pictures and brought back a suitecase full of freebies ( autographed posters, t-shirts, all kinds of cool handouts, stickers, magazines ) o ya paul don't miss out on the upstairs section, all the free car/truck/perfomance magazines.
