I had to remove the NOS out of my truck or I could have been charged under the street racing laws

Here's an idea...(being a complete smartass is my forte)..jack the crap outta your truck..I mean HUGE...then if you get stopped...(and this is where it's funny) you have NO RUNNING BOARDS for the pig to step on to hand you a ticket...so he is forced to tie the ticket to a ROCK and toss it up to you...HOPEFULLY missing and smashing your ext. cab window....thereby, cancelling said ticket..LOL

Yeah, these laws they're reffering to are new in SK.

I can understand where they're coming from, without some controls people could just lift and mod their trucks to the point being unsafe on normal roads with other traffic.

And really, if you need more than a 6" lift and a 2" BL than you should probably be building a trail rig anyways...

IMHO.

But they also need to do something about all the POS rust-buckets they allow to be registered there. I was always amazed at the total lack of any safety checks on older vehicles there. I grew up in Saskatoon and some the vehicles me and my friends registered should absolutely not be on the road. Hell, they let me plate a 300ZX that had entire sections of the frame rotted completely out...

Just some dude from BC...

In Northern Ontario they are a little more strict on the POS law's I have been stopped a few times by a road block with MTO and OPP some have the little mirrors some get down and dirty but they look all around the vehicle and check underneath too. Usually see these road blocks early winter or late spring. Usually read in the paper the next week that they issued a couple dozen fix it tickets and maybe towed 1 or 2 vehicles. I think a big part of the problem is mechanics that are handing out passed safety papers under the table like candy, without even looking at the vehicle..
