Post Truck Cover

I want to get a good fitted cover for my truck. I plan on parking it for
the winter and I will have to store here in my drive way. I looked at
some different suppliers on line but I thought somone from here may
have some suggestions on what is good and who to stay away from.
I live in Southern Ont so the cover would have to be able to handle
winter and spring weather conditions. Let me know your thoughts and
Thanks for Your Input.....

Larry.

Garage
Years ago (20) when I moved to a house with no garage, I needed a cover for my Nova. It took me two years to build a garage so I wanted the best cover I could buy. Especially wanted the cover to withstand the tree sap and bird crap.. So I looked around and ended up with a "Covercraft" cover from Summit Racing. It was a three layer cover and cost me about three hundred bucks at the time. That cover was amazing. I left it on the car for two straight years and the paint looked like the day I parked it. I made sure I washed (and let dry) the car first and IIRC, I washed it after one year later to see how much crap came thru...nothing! I thought it was expensive but after I realized I was protecting my investment and was well worth my hard earned cash.

So, I went to the Summit site this morning and see they make custom ones for just about everything. Custom colors too. It looks like they even make them better with a four layer cover. They are lockable with a cable that goes under the truck. I made my own and they help if the wind happens to pull it off the car. Here's a link to the Summit site comparing the two best covers for a 2009 F-150 ext-cab (You would have to make sure you pick the right application...box size...which mirrors you have...etc.): http://www.summitracing.com/compare.aspx

This post inspires me now. I don't drive my truck in the winters so I figure maybe I'll buy a cover . So I went on the Summit site and "Customized" a cover for my '05 crewcab dually and even though I can only get it in gray I was surprised they make one...and for $334. I think I'm going to buy one.

I assume the antenna would have to be removed before putting cover on.

Thanks for the link Andy ... They look like quality covers . It looks like CoverCraft only
makes them to cover the cab and I would like to cover the truck up completely.
I'm going to give summit a call on Monday to check on that for me .
Thanks again for the Information.

I happened to be checking some stuff on Ebay and found three covers for my truck. I'll be buying the 6 layer cover for $180.

Looks nice. I like the way it tucks under the back. How do the mirror parts work? Are they velcro or zipper?
