Speedo reset

Hi guys,

I've been lurking around here and other F150 forums for a bit, bought a 09 SC XLT couple years ago, been a great truck but I made the mistake of getting the hancook tires with it, I bought used a pair of michelin x-ice for the winter on steel rims, this has done me well for 2 years but now need replacing. I figure if Im going to replace them I might as well get bigger rims, looking at the monster or rockstar rims if I can find them, along with toyo or MT tires, 33 inch in around there. My issue is I would like the speedo to be reading proper. What are guys doing for this? SCT tuners? any other options?

Thanks for the help.

If you are going to spend the money on the programmer you might as well get some custom tunes like a custom SCT X-Cal 3 or Gryphon (Edge). Your local Ford dealer can also reflash your ECM for you for a fraction of the cost of the programmer for the larger tires.

your dealer can do it if its a valid tire size option in their laptop software,IF you do chose to reflash your pcm (power programmer ) beware if you have any warranty left consider the fact they may not cover whatever breaks (ford or aftermarket warranty) they now know when non-factory reflash has been done.they can and will deny repairs based on whatever is found.that being said I run sct pro racer pkg without problems.
