moving in the new year?

Haven't been on much for a few months, busy house/property hunting.

Well we have been hunting for a place with a couple acres and maybe a decent garage and some space for me to keep a few of my old buddies for future projects(old Ford trucks)

we haven't had much to chose from close to an hour from my present work and not too far from the farm.

Appraisal coming this week, making an offer this weekend based on that......

its an old house in need of lots of work, recent 2 car + detached garage partially insulated. enough space and tree line at the back of the lot to hide a few, ok 8or10 old Fords.

the boss loves the place, kids are ok with the place, has 4 bedrooms but only 1 bathroom
room for a big garden and still has part of an old apple orchard and healthy trees .
and i get some space to breathe best of all.

now hopefully the next week goes smoothly.
still cleaning up burnt parts and vehicles from the fire but its getting smaller.
maybe now I'll get a chance to move a few instead of scrapping them.

cheers James

Sounds like an exciting time. Hope it goes well for you and you get to start working on those old Ford's soon. Good luck.

Well we finally got our appraisal apptmnt nailed down today, Nov 28. wow that was difficult. so now we just wait I guess.
I hate waiting

yup an upstairs bathroom will probably be right up there on 1st reno.

the space is a big thing for me, i would have liked 150 acres or more in northern ontario, but in these parts thats somewhere between 1 and 2 million.

we will hopefully be having some money left over after we sell our place and the dust settles.

this place has been the only one we are both in aggreement on.

cheers james

another viewing with professional appraiser on thursday, supposed to have appraisal by friday afternoon, got email to not expect until monday. holy crap took a long time to secure an appraiser and even longer to get it done. I guess they really don't need the business. glad the place isn't a hot seller , we would have missed out on it already!

my buddy Rob the restoration carpenter came with me today for a 3rd viewing and didn't see anything to scare us off. just the regular 100yr old plus home stuff we are used to. he actually pointed out some good things i had not noticed.
I was going to make our offer to the realtor today but things got delayed by the appraiser. wife is pissed off at him she wants to make the offer without his appraisal. patience woman

the realtor has been awesome, not the same as my previous experiences.

cool little tidbit of info on the place: the two closest business' in St Mary's are the beer store and the Ford dealer..................

can it get any cooler than that?

cheers James

hopefully an offer and some news this week.

Beer store AND a Ford dealer, what more could you ask for? Good luck James.
