bought a Chateau

had a great fathers day, left the kids at GM and GP's. went to Scarborough and bought a 1 owner low km 92 E150 clubwagon Chateau.
had been looking for a clubwagon with a good body needing engine work to swap onto my diesel E350 clubwagon chassis. this one will fit right in at the Ford and Mercury truck nationals. very nice and original and the wife loves it!

picking up on Saturday, won't licence it until we move into the new place in July. I'll try and post some pics this coming weekend.

bought it 22hrs after the ad came up on kijiji.

I don't think she will let me lift off this body and put it on the diesel chassis, its way too nice for that anyway. so its a summers only vehicle same as last owner!

140,000ish km, original body/paint 2 tone blue, blue interior 4 captains (driver's power), rear folding bed. seats 7.

cheers to an awesome fathers day.

Full size vans are awesome. They're great for getting the whole family (and then some) together for a road trip...and in comfort! And they are just plain cool to drive. I had a '76 E-250 (with a big bed and house speakers!) that I planned on converting to four wheel drive, but never got there. Ah, memories...

picking it up Sat morning, getting a little excited. nicest vehicle we have bought in a while. the boss says she is going to pay for it from her bank account. in the last few years all our vehicles have been paid for out of my "scrap fund"

did I mention she is a keeper?

cheers james

Congrats James, 140,000 km is nothing if your maintenance schedule and care is getting you to 450,000 on your other vehicles.

Definitely need some pics.

got it home inspite of all the crap on the 401 today. fricken rubber neckers.

slows down everybody so they can see whats going on on the other side going the other direction, only one thing worse is idiots slamming their brakes on when they notice an OPP car in traffic

took some pics after we got home not sure how they will show , light was a little low. I'll start a new album.

nice driving beast . have 4 brand new never mounted Michelin MTX C range tires for it never mounted. that will improve the handling, I hate low pro tires. right now it has 2 new 275/60/15 bfgs on the rear and the new spare on the LF, and a round black and hard tire on the RF.

I know what you're saying. I tried uploadng some pics to start an album on my Bronco restoration, but it wouldn't work, so I said f it because I have better things to do than wasting time. Just like at work, when they computerize stuff and we are told it will make things easier...not!

Try Photobucket, easier by a mile to download, then just copy and paste the IMG code.

Honestly though, do it a few times and you get the hang of it, the secret here is always going to the mountain on the yellow postcard, not unlike Rainbow's Man on the Silver Mountain, but nowhere near as cool.
