Unhappy 1971 f250 4x4

So am in a tight spot... Need help, with this,,, 2 days ago I was driving my 1971 f250 4x4 when I got hit by a guy backing out of his drive way... sadly my front driver side took the hit and pushed in my grill fender bumper... and now I suspect that the frame was also damaged as the truck wont drive strait anymore... Iv been working on this truck for the last 2 years to get it reliable enuf for me to be able to use as a daily driver then this happens...

the other guy got charged today for failing to yeal and negligent driving... The insurance are so-posed to have a look at my truck am kinda scared that they will scarp the old girl for this retard...

Option 1: Depending on what the insurance says, (not mention that i know the truck is now tristed) get the fender bumper and front grill replaced and than try to find a shop who have a frame master and stretch it out..

option 2: fine a newer mid 90s up diesel f250/350 do a body swap...

any of you guys ever been down this road?

First of all, welcome to the site. Too bad your truck got smacked, hope you get to fix it and get it back to how you had it. A body swap isn't very easy, from what I understand. The frame widths are different...but anything is possible, with the right person. Look forward to seeing pics of your trucks...they sound cool. Good luck with with your Highboy.

So this is kicking me in the ass to finish my mut scrambler than this monster will be getting the face lift... am not to afraid of doing a frame swap as am like 3/4 done doing my scrambler fiberglass body swap(everyone who i asked tolld me id only do one and never do it again, dam were they right)... that iv been working on for over 5 years and is almost done... the issue i have is once i start if am not happy with it, il take it back apart and redo it till am happy with it lol..

if you end up fixing yours, I have a frame snip from a 75 F250 crewcab highboy might be able to use parts from. I saved it complete including front leafs/steering box/springs, and good old dana60 closed knuckle front.

I might even have a complete 77 highboy frame, but I'll have to check on that. I sold the 70 body off it to a buddy. sold the engine to another guy and can't remember where the rest ended up. I have too many

highboy frames are pretty square , same width front to back.

good luck with the insurance company. that's a cool old truck , would be shame to lose it
