Garage
Lately I have been staying at Delta's. They are comfortable and have everything, but can be pricey.

Back in May I stayed at the Delta Bow Valley in Calgary. I ended up getting bumped to a VIP suite (I spell that s-w-e-e-t). 24th floor...great view of the city too. *****

Last week I stayed at the Delta Prince Edward in Charlottetown PEI. Very nice hotel on the water, downtown, close to everything. It was about $160-$170 per night. *****

Some others I'd recommend:
Best Western - Moncton, NB...$106 ****
Quality Inn - Bayer's Lake NS (Halifax) ...$119 ****
Hampton Inn - Bangor Maine ...$108 ****

I always rock Marriott since I'm a Platinum member. But I stay the the Delta Grandview in Huntsville when I'm up there. It's a good deal if you know any major companies in town, just tell them you work for them and you get a discounted rate of about 140 a night from 300.

I am more of a Motel guy as long as they are well kept, this is based on Northern Ontario experiences....I live in Motels

-Can't beat the price
-Most allow Dog's, and have room too run around outside
-Park in front of room
-Usually no need to haul crap up stairs or elevators
-Not as worried about dirty work stuff
-Restaurants are more home cooking style (Most of the time)
-No kids in room above banging on the floor....lol
-Internet, TV
I can do this all night----

I look at the exterior and lighting outside if it is all well kept your rooms will be nice, and also well cleaned.

I only drive in the city, to get out of it!!!

Just got word that I'll be in Vancouver for a week.

I'll try the Holiday Inn downtown and report back.
