HOW TO : Post Pics on fordtough.ca

Here's a quick and simple tutorial on how to post pics on fordtough.ca using the forum software.

Personally, I think Photobucket is a little easier, but the in-house method isn't all that difficult if you know where to look.

SO - you've joined Canada's best F150 forum. Congrats on a smart choice !!

First thing everyone wants to see is pics of your ride....let's get started.

Go to your User Control Panel...

In your profile, on the right hand side, you'll see the "Albums" option.....

Hit "Show All Albums"

This will display all your albums....we want to "Add Album" (Click on the bar to make the images larger)

You'll need to name your album, give some details if you wish, and select "Public" so your pics can be seen.
When you're done, hit "SUBMIT"

Now you want to download some pics into your album.

Easiest way to do this is to have the pics you want to download on your computer's desktop, or the main screen.

When you hit "Choose File", you will be able to select the pics you have on your desktop for downloading.

Hit "Upload Pictures" when you've got your pics selected. You may only be able to do three at a time.

Alrighty...almost there. You should now be able to see the pics you've downloaded. Add some details if you wish and "Save Changes".

Congratulations, you've just created your own personal fordtough.ca album !!!

Now it's time to post those pics in your new thread, or in an existing thread.

First up, you need to go to your album and double click on the picture you want to post..which will take you here...

You need to copy the ENTIRE "Picture URL" for this to work.

The key to posting your pics is what I can only describe as a "mountain on a yellow postcard"..... it also appears in the regular message box if you're responding to an existing thread.

Left click on the mountain and you'll see this pop up box. Paste the "Picture URL" in this box.....should look like this:

Hit "OK".

VOILA'

Your pic has been posted.

You've got to be careful to make sure you've got all the photo nomenclature in place or the system won't work....

Good luck !!

Here's how it should look...some pics from my trip to Bristol in Aug '05 for the Sharpie 500.

Fantastic, thanks for the compliment, not sure what you mean about spelling and grammar either.

I don't read a lot of things now that I'm on my phone a lot. Just seems way longer when it's 20 pages on your phone
