6.0 L Boost Gauge

So I'm looking to install a boost gauge on my 6.0L where is the best place to connect the line? I bought all of the fittings to tap and thread the aluminum elbow that is bolted to the intake. I wanted to ask before I drill the whole.

That looks exactly like where I was planning on putting it. They refer to a T installation. I can't find any manafold lines?

T-installation is the alternative method. You are far better to tap the elbow and install there. I have installed mine there on my 07 & my past 04 with no issues. Remove the elbow before you tap it and then you will leave the metal chips on the bench.

wondering why your adding the boost gauge ? out of all the gauges that are there the boost is the most accurate (next to the speedo/rpm)

said that even though aftermarket do look better

It's an 03/7.3 I believe. No boost gauge on dash, at least I don't think so. My 03/6.0 has no stock boost gauge.

I think zip is right, Mercuryv8's profile says '03.

I installed in mine just because I had it left over from my '04 which I had from my '03 7.3L in a trio of EGT/boost/trans temp.

Mercuryv8, if you can go into User CP a the top beside "Forums Home", and add your truck specs in the signature box, it will show up at the bottom of your posts. That will help anyone replying to your questions/ comments.

Yeah, 03 no boost gauge.

I'm really excited about the gauge because my turbo is on its way out and I want some baseline boost pressures to compare the rebuilt turbo too.
