Smile Newbie......

Some of you here know me as 1low03gt on mustang boards,so i thought i would come up of a board name along the lines of that, and be appropriate for here,so i thought 1SILVER06F150 worked.
Anyways,for those of you that don't know me,i'm from London,Ontario,i mainly hot rod a '03 mustang GT,and rescently purchased a 2006 4.6L F150 XL subercab for daily/family duty's.
A little history of me with the F series pick up.I grew up in a Ford house hold, and where the F series pick up has always been the bread and butter for the family growing up.We've had the '69 F100 Custom,a '72 F100 Custom,a '77 extended cab F100 Custom,a '79 F100 Custom Explorer,a F350 Custom crew cab dually, and now my folks have a 2007 F150 XLT.All used for one thing, construction, well except for me.When i hit 16,my parents gave me the '79 F100,which i loved to death growing up as a kid,i had her for about 7 years or so.I modified the heck out of her,and beat the hell out of her, then she finally started to show some issues in the chassis, and body in which i could no longer keep up with,so i parted out the drive train then brought the rest to a local scrap metal yard as i didn't want any of the original piece to be touched by anyone else,i was being selfish, but only cause she was my first, and only love for a vehicle,i'm sure some of you can relate to this.So after the '79,i got a brand new '98 4.6L F150 STX extended cab in late '98,it was an overall good truck, had it for 41/2 years,it gave me some issues threwout the years, once the warranty was up,and i started to pay out of my own pocket to fix it,it was time to let her go,she was a melon from the start,sooooo...some of you know him here,Biz....helped me trade her in on a new '03 mustang GT as i really wanted a new stang with no other onwers on it's history, and at that time i had a '85 GT aswell (during my ownership of the '98 STX) which i sold,to get another daily driver, which ended up being a '95 Dodge Spirit, which has been HELL,but served it's purpose. But after 5 years with the Dodge beater,i couldn't take anymore, and it bugged me,and started to break down more often, and still needs attention for this summer. Now that the GT was paid for i was able to get another truck.
So here's how the 2006 F150 comes in.My original plan was to wait out another few years, but we know how that goes.LOL!I went to the local dealer to buy an oil filter for the mustang to do the oil for spring, and looked at the wife and said let's look and see what they have in the used section for trucks, there she was, exactly what i have been telling the wife what i wanted for the last year,a silver bare to the bones F150 supercap.Checked her over,no price,so she said go,and ask,the sales guy gives me the price, year, and k's 24,994k's),still had new car warranty that will be carried over, and all of it caught my attention, and my wifes too.We took it for a spin, the wife was in love with it,i still had no plans on getting it,but after a little chatting together, she convinced me,and a deal was made.
I'm telling you,it feels real good to be back in a truck after not owning one since April of '03!!!!!
So that is my short, and yet long story on me,and my relatonship with the Ford F series truck.:icon_wink:
I'll post pics in the photo section.
And thanks to v8ranger to directing me to here.

Cheers.

To tell you the truth,i have no clue.Today is the first day i have had time to really check out the truck in what it has,and i only made it as far as the engine bay,and interior.I knew the basics from a quick look over at the dealer.I'll take a boo tomorrow. Now i'm interested to know.
