CTC Boxing Week sale

I'm not usually one of throwing promotions out there, but I gotta give credit to CTC lately.

This is a good week to add to your tool collection……

Picked up a 250 piece Mastercraft Maximum socket set, regular $500, on for $125.

Reciprocating (Sawzall) Blade Set - regular $60, on for $15.

Wall Storage Cabinet for the basement, got one in the garage already, regular $150, on for $100.

And, as icing on the cake, got the one day special $50 Promo Card on top of all that, so ended up saving almost twice as much as I spent.

Going back today to pick up another full size storage cabinet to use in the basement as well, it's on sale too, and plan to use the $50 Promo Card to offset the cost a bit.

The 250 piece socket set is a bit misleading, the number is padded up with the inclusion of Allen keys and a screwdriver bit set, as well as Torx, Phillips and Robertson socket drivers, but WTF, for $125 it's a pretty solid little set.

Not sure if I should have put this under my Christmas Wish List thread, or in the Tools section, but seeing as I was buying for myself, I suppose this is the better choice. lol

Great deals for sure!

My rule of thumb with CTC is never pay regular price, wait a week or so for the sales...lol

Truth to that for sure, and if you miss something on sale, wait five weeks and it will come around again. True story, wife worked part time at CTC years ago.

All great points Mike!

Something else to add is there return /price match policy.

If you do buy something not on sale.
Their price match policy is only 14 days, but return policy is 90.
So basically the price match policy is 90 days.

I've out had to do that once.
My work Dremel broke and I had to run out and get another. It wasn't on sale but I needed it. Paid the $50.
3 weeks later it was on for $20 bucks. I brought in my receipt and she they went on to explain their price match policy is only 14 days. I then said "okay, but your return policy is 90 days..??" She looked at me like a deer in headlights. I then said "you do you realize what I'm about to do right?!?!" She said nothing.

So I turned around walked over to the shelf grabbed the Dremel, bought the Dremel, walked out the store and walked back in to the customer service desk. Told the same girl I'd like to return this and put my original receipt on the counter. She asks for my phone number for the return. Never bothered to ask me why, or if there was anything wrong. I wonder why. Lol either way, could have made the experience better as she could have done that at the counter. But live and learn.

Turning out to be more helpful hints here than I figured, thanks for chiming in with the tips fellows.

So, got my full size storage cabinet this morning, identical to this one in the garage.

CTC has a promo on for today only, where if you have the Options Mastercard and use your CTC money on the card, they'll give it back to you on your January statement, up to a maximum of $75.

Stay with me and check this out:

Full size Mastercraft Maximum storage cabinet, regular $320, on for $270.

$270 minus the $50 promo card I got yesterday = $220

$220 minus $100 I had on the CTC card from buying gas etc = $120

20x CTC money back on the card for in store purchases from Dec 21 to 24 = $25, price now down to $95

$75 CTC money back on my card on my January statement means that the $350 some odd dollar Maximum storage cabinet cost me $25 out of pocket.

Goddamn.
