6573k . That's a lot of blue..
How long have they been working for?

Neither of the 2 brands say the brand of led they use. Makes me believe they are a cheap Chinese/ Taiwanese.

So for the price, I'd probably pick up the eBay ones. Or similar but lower kelvin.

6500k is labeled as a "cool blue"

The sealed beam halogen's on it now are Grote.

As fate would have it, I had actually dropped into the local NAPA store and priced the Grote LED's and they wanted about $125 each plus taxes.

Still considering a roll of the dice on the Ebay units, just because they're half the price.

As far as longevity goes, yah, you'll get what you pay for, but even if they only last 5% of the rated life of >30,000 hrs, it will be over 1500 hours.

More than enough I figure. Still on the fence about it, but thanks very much to everyone, especially Travis, for their input.

1500 hours comes fast if you're putting them on a vehicle that sees a lot of night driving.

Much as I'd like too, I'll never be cutting grass at night, so that eliminates about eight months of the year.

Out of five or six hours of run time this winter, I've only cleared snow once that's required the lights to be on, and that was maybe 30 min being generous, more like 15 min.

So you can start to see why it's one of those "nice to do" projects, not "need to do" and 1500 hours of bulb time will probably outlast the tractor itself.

It's a 2001 model, and it's only got 1280 hrs on it, so at 100 hrs/year, I'm guessing it probably will do well to last another 15 years.

And considering my usage is probably going to be well below 100 hrs/year, I'm not looking to buy top shelf, like I would for the truck.

My lol wasn't sarcastic enough..
I meant you enjoy and want to play in the tractor so much you don't even put boots on. You'll hit the 1500 quite fast. Lol

But I guess you cleared that up eh.

Lol

Either way I still stand by my recommendation. And like you said if it was a vehicle you used full time on the road it would be a different story.

Same reason I have such nice headlights on my truck. 40k/yr makes me strive for better quality, visibility and safety.

Hella is a good quality brand. They make alot of OEM performance lighting. (HID projector lights etc)

I'd put my money in them.
