I have one and love it. Princess Auto has them on sale quite often. They adjust for different tire sizes. I have mine maxed out to slip over my 37's which are 14.50" wide. Makes it so much easier to work on the motor, especially if you are lifted.

In fact, here is the one from PA. Not currently on sale but will probably be easier and cheaper to get than from Northern.

2001 F350 CC SWB 6spd....currently getting a complete 'makeover'. Stay tuned.

Cool invention.

I'm sure with a bit of steel, welder, and cut-off saw/ grinder or torches. wouldn't be too much work to make a custom fitting one for your own truck that fits like a glove.

Also maybe add a bit more support and have the platform stick out larger incase you need some extra leverage while the heads under the hood.

You see them in heavy duty diesel shops quite a bit, work well from what I've seen. I've just always owned small trucks so they're easy to work on.. LR
