09 F150 Transmission Shudder
Hello all, recently I've noticed a shudder coming from under the truck from around 40 to 55 km/h. The tires have been balanced and a brief inspection looked like I haven't lost any driveshaft weights. I had the transmission serviced at 95,000 km and again at 201,000 km with gaskets, screens and CXT 10 LV12 transmission fluid. The truck has 240,000 km on it now and the dealership claims (contrary to my limited knowledge) that it won't cause any damage until the condition warrants a diagnostic code (no codes came up at the present time). Some forums state that the trans oil spec has been updated to using Mercon V, adding a friction modifier, topping up the fluid, etc. but the bottom line is I'm just not ready to have some major transmission work done after I just spent a few $$$$ to have the A/C fixed, axle service done, tires last fall etc. Does anyone have any insight? Thanks in advance.
