Mac Tools

Not sure where else to post this...
Anyone on here know a Mac tools districutor? You know, the truck guy. Been looking for a new career and I see they are looking for a guy in my area. Curious to see what kind of start up funds are needed. I did some searching but finding mostly US info and it all seems sketchy.

Any info would be great

Hope no one jumps on me for this but I never got the whole "Mac tools"/"snapon" why pay 10x the amount for a tool that you've got to wait for the truck to deliver or replace when broke.... when you can go to any canadian tire (for example) and get a lifetime warenty tool thats not that far away.....and the quality might be a bit less on mastercraft but for the price of the high end stuff it should be gold plated and come with a monkey to do the work... sorry for the rant

try snapon ive seen there trucks in this area but havent seen a mac dealer truck on the road yet.

+1.

If Princess Auto were a real girl, I'd ask her to marry me.

+2. I usually buy Craftsman, although lately it seems they're not as good as they were 20 years ago.

I'm going to guess Mac Tools will be looking for a substantial investment up front.

I think you'd be on the hook for the truck and the inventory, and they'd give you access to the tool stock and the name.

From what i've found it seems you need 25-50k depends where i read it. And of course a truck. As to why buy from Mac/Snap on instead of Cdn tire or other? Tool snobs imho. I've used all different types and broken all different types. Atleast with Mastercraft I just drive 6.2 kms to my local Cdn tire and walk out with a brand new tool. I'm not saying it;s my new career choice, just looking around to see what's out there.
