Just bought my old truck back....

I just bought my old 1987 F-150 back and want to customize it, but i am having a hard time finding decent sites for performance mods and lowering kits. It has a 5.0L and its 2wd. If someone can lend me a hand please. I love the summit site as it helped build up my 98 blazer that I just sold, but I am not sure if and what it takes to switch the intake from stock to a carburated or if its worth it. I would like to put a mild 2" drop in it, but cant find a lowering kit either.

Please help. Thank you all.

Welcome to the site.

I do some research on http://www.stylintrucks.com .

I did a quick search and they have some things on there for your truck. XLT and custom.

http://www.belltech.com/trucks.php

drop beams or drop springs

i have a 1980 with all 87-96 suspension on it. 3inch djm drop beams, with 2inch drop springs from belltech in the front in the rear is a bell tech c notch kit with a 7 inch drop.... if thats too much djm sell a 3/5 drop 3" front 5" rear it levels out the truck nice.. the kit comes with shocks, and summit sell the djm kit.

You wouldn't happen to know if it is possible to get a 2/2 drop?? I want to keep the rake that is stock, but want to drop it enough to make "a statement" if you will. I am going to put in 295/50R15 on the rear and 235/60R16 on the front with AR ventura wheels. The joys of being a mechanic AND a tire tech. HAHA.

Glad to see so many people willing to help. This is a great site.
