Post HID Problem

I am having a problem with one of the HID's on my truck .

The lights come on as normal when I turn them on with the switch or put the

in drive . Then 5 or 10 min later (varies ) the drivers side light goes out .

I tried switching the bulbs from left to right just in case the left one was

heating up then going out but still the drivers side only went out . Now I

am wondering if I have a faulty ballast ? The shop that installed these is closed

for the weekend would anybody here know where I could go an purchase a

ballast or have any thoughts on this problem ?

Thanks
Larry.

if you swapped left to right, right to left, and the problem didn't move with it. then it's most likely a ballast..

maybe performance improvements. ?

how long has the kit been installed for?
alot of inexpensive kits only have 90days warranty..

The lights were installed a couple of years ago so I'm sure there is no warranty .

The upper lights are OTTO HID'S 8000K and the lowers are XENON 6000K .

The kits were not exspensive so hopefully a replacement ballast will not cost

to much if I can find one . If not I will have to replace the system .

You could swap a ballast from your fogs to the headlights for the time being. While you Order another set.

Thanks Travis ... Interestingly I have been driving around all morning and the light has not gone out once . Maybe with me moving things there was a lose connection or something . . Don't you just love these guessing games lol .

Personally I'd replace it with a higher quality kit and wiring with a decent warranty..
or upgrade to a retrofit projector with higher quality products..

5yr warranty on this.

As well if you were to upgrade to retrofitted headlight.. it's all usable stuff.. only thing of that kit that would need be replaced is the bulbs.
