HID problems

I need some help, I installed some HID's. They are an h13 high/low kit made by RTX.

Anyways when I have my truck running and I turn on the lights it kills the motor. I have them grounded to the batteries so I know the ground is good.

Only other thing i've thought of is to get some relays and draw from the battery

Anyone else have any ideas? I don't know much about these HID kits. Thanks in advance

My kit draws power directly from Battery
There may be a possibility that your transformers are not connected to metal, they also have to be looped to ground

by transformers do you mean the ballast? Because I have the attacted to them screwed into the header panal which is fiberglass so I guess i'll try running a ground from the screw

Yep
try to ground them and see if it solves the problem

I went and talked to a guy who owns a aftermarket performance shop around here. Walked away with two relays and a diagram on how the manual should have told me to wire them.

Right now with the HID's drawing power from the stock system it's causeing too much strain on the elec system so its killing the engine.

Therefore drawing power directly from the battery should alieviate the strain and solve my problem.....I hope!

The guy is correct,
I'm surprise that your kit didn't come with harness to do that
