tinted headlights

Well, thanx to tohi's great write up on this subject. i decided to give it a try. only one pic of the finished product so far, due to daddies little helpers...ummm, well helping. i'll post more with them in the truck with the HID's. the silicone is drying as we speak. thank you cam for this great how-to. Tails are next when i get ambitious.....

thanx you guys. i had to add a little more silicone today to touch up some spots i didn't trust. will get them in later today.

so you cooked them and seperated them and painted the inside?

that's right blair. kinda buggered up the black plastic housing by twisting with the screwdriver too much. sealed it up and put 80 lbs on each lens to force them together overnight and touched them up this morning. the plastic clips that go onto the lens are kinda buggered...

i did the same with my taillights after tinting the outisde of a couple of pairs and didnt like the outcome

those look great too. now i've got 2 choices. lol outside or inside paint. good thing i got 2 sets of lenses...

K..I Need you to explain how you "cooked" them without turning them in a plastic puddle of goop in your oven.

I am DYING to do this MOD, Yet i'm afraid i'll completely mess it up...

knowledge is a powerful thing...in my case anyhow.
