No DRL...??

Hi guys,

Well here I am back again. Got the front differential on my 2000 Ranger 4x4 replaced. Whew! even though I got the diff at a reasonable price (Ceegee's) it was still a costly fix, now my mechanic tells me one of my hubs is a bit iffy, doesn't disengage as smoothly as it should, but it still works so I think I'll give my bank account a "bit" of a breather before I have that/them replaced. In any event, the reason I'm here this time is that my DRL's suddenly quit working on me today...?? I noticed last night they were flickering and then suddenly today, I came out of the store and nada!! I checked #33 fuse and it was fine. All other lights, headlights (when switch is on) both high & low beams, parking, dash, etc., appear to be working fine, just no DRL. Could this be the DRL module? If so, where might I find it on the truck??

it is likely the drl module. mine went shortly after I got the truck and that is exactly what happened to it. I was under warranty so had it switched out and it fixed the problem. I believe the module is on the drivers side near front but dont quote me on that

Do all Ranger's have DRL tied in with the parking brake? I notice that on my '97 when I use the parking brake that the headlights stay on. I just figured Ford didn't equip some trucks with this feature. Anyone?

Why can't this happen to me, I don't want DRLs lol

It is most likely in the module, but I have no idea where it would be..

Well my HIDs are bright, VERY bright lol when people put there high beams on or flash me I'll just turn the little knob to the DRLs, which would turn my headlights off. I'm getting HID fog lights so I'd see well

Ya i have a relay, i might put a seperate fuse on a switch to be able to cut the power when needed, which would shut them off

sounds like the drl module is shot,i have replaced a few for this same concern, the module is on the drivers side front of the rad support.

a moments silence for the shelbyx,i hope her new owner enjoys as much.
