Steering dampeners

Would dampener improve my highway handling on my 90 F150 SWB with 31" tires, or would I be better off putting on stock 235/15 tires?

A dampener would help more with off roading, your tires shouldnt affect to much your highway handling. I would look more for worn out tie rod ends, and ball joints. Those would throw you around the road more than tires would unless they are underinflated...

I would check your steering components first, then your tires. Most shops will do this for free. If after that you still feel like you need more control, then yes a dampener would work.

All front end checked added 2 tierod as rubbers were split, ball joints ckecked, steering shaft too. I replaced the steering box as it would not return to center. Now it steers to easily, hoping a dampener would give me s better feel while hiway driving.
