On the Chevies (and a lot of fullsize trucks) the shackles mounts are under the leaf springs since they typically use a large and heavier curved spring. On the Rangers and most small/compact pickups the shackle mounts are over top and the shackles hang down. This way longer shackles give you lift vs. mounting the springs higher up from the shackle mount. A typical cheap 5" lift for most fullsize trucks involves flipping the shackle mounts so that the shackle hangs down instead.
I really should order a set myself as well. I have a set of bubba'd homemade lift shackles in mine and the bushings are toast in them. You can feel the ass end of the truck walk all over the place on the trails.. But it also makes it so loose it flexes like the girl your momma chased away!! LR
