Soft brakes

Hello everyone, i own a 2001 ford ranger and been having some issues with it lately. In May i replaced my front pads and rotors.. about a month ago i noticed my brakes are getting soft, the pedal goes down quite far and then the brakes engage. I checked my pads and rotors, bled the lines.. checked my vacuum lines. Did not loose any fluid, MC and brake booster both look fine..

I only have a couple of ideas.. maybe there is air in the ABS system?

and i have recently heard of someone with the same problem and they adjusted the actuator rod (located between the booster and MC)... but why would it need adjusting out of the blue?

any thoughts ideas?

thanks in advance.

Thanks! i was going to check them eventually anyways.. they were changed recently so i figured they would be fine. but it turns out my rear drums were completely shot... had to change drums/shoes/springs and MC's.. i have working brakes now.. have to work on my parking brake which is always engaged a little bit.

thanks again, problem solved.
