Radiator Leak

I was wondering if anyone else has heard, seen, or have personal experience with this issue. I have 2012 Diesel F350. I noticed a small coolant leak the other day. I had the truck in for a service and Ford found that the radiator was leaking from the joint between the aluminum core and plastic end cap of the radiator. You can see that it looks like these plastic end pieces are crimped onto the core and the technician figured there is probably a gasket of some sort that is failed and causing the leak. Anyway, to repair at Ford....$2000 (truck is out of Warranty)! So, I am tempted to do the repair my self...I think the Rad is about $900....

900 for a Rad seems crazy to me....Does anyone here have any suggestions (aftermarket Rad, repairing current rad, replacing tips....)?
