Smile no power

im bying a 1998 ford f150 with a 4.6 it starts put no power the owner told me he put a brand new fuel pump still the same could it be timing chain or catelec converter is pluged up

i would look at the cat bein pluged... do a compression test on all 8. then go from their . theres no way it would be the timming chain!!!

hi again well finnaly got to the valve cover off and i see the gear and no chain on the gear so the motor is probaly no gooa anymore

Your motor still could be good? Small chance it is but throw a new chain on and see what happens. I'm new to the F150s, but I know if it's a non interference engine, having a chain or belt snap/break/dissappear doesn't harm the engine usually. It's mostly just smaller engines and newer cars that you need to worry about. IE: Principals 05 Aveo belt snapped, needed a valve/piston job... My friends chain snapped, needed a new chain worked twice as good after the new chain was put on.

well people this trucj was completely striped of good parts and the rest went to ford heaven lol lol
