2000 F150 Flare Side lookoutFors

Fellas
Im looking at a 2000 F150 Flareside XLT. It is at a small dealership, looks good/clean, may have had the lower doors/rockers painted? The front DS UJs seem loose, but maybe just the flex coupler. The dealer is not in until Mon, so I know its a 5.4, 180,000Ks Leer top, loaded as I can see.
The work as done is new tires,Muffler back, and as stated paint on the lower. Some rust on the floor along the supports. But for a 2000 not that bad for 7600$. Not that I'll pay that.
Any suggestions on what to look out for, Any bad points on the 2000 Short Flaresides. Anything that has to be replaced around that time? Etc Would be helpful. Getting close to replace my poor old 19 Aero. Hate to get rid of it. It's been my second wife as my good wifey says.
Dave

7600 seems kinda pricey. I didn't pay close to that for my 97 6 yrs ago and it was in better shape, I had no body rust on mine. Which dealer?

Whaddya mean I dont pay my bills?? Whydya think I'm broke!!

I had a 2000 Regular Cab Flareside 4x4, which my sister owns now and first off I think its one of the nicest looking trucks Ford made. It was a 4.2 though. Its got 170,000km's on it and hardly showing signs of rust. As for $7600, I'm thinking $6000 at most, maybe less.

Was nice to meet you Dave, and that truck is very clean and sharp looking, as I said to you ask for any records if there is any and test drive her listen for clunks rattles. Then go battle out a cheaper price than what they want I wouldn't go over $7000 taxes,plates,cert,e-test all in. Sorry I had to go but next time you can buy timmies for sure.

Sure will. Will have to check out your truck in detail after. If it was a lil Explorer or Aero I would have had a problem. By the way change the loc. .

Well fellas. broke down payed 7500 Taxes etc in , yea yea WTF. Didn't want to go over 7000$ But the old Aero was ended its life. Wife drove it (Aerostar) to London yesterday and it didn't start whan she came out. The Y pipe cracked so bad I thought it was a Leopard Tank, she brought home. Wife wants to sell the cap, So mayhave one for sell. I like it until I can get a Tonno.
