so lights are in and look good. took a while to get used to how dim the low beams are. but the hi beams are amazing. the LED is wired to my turn signal at the moment but i might change that to my running lights once it gets warmer out side.

now that that mod is 99% completed i was wondering if anyone on the site has used Plast-Dip to paint their Fender Flares, Bumpers or Rocker Panels. i would like to give it a shot to "black out" my 2003 KR but am worried about not being able to get it off if i dont care for it. I would be spraying my bumpers and rocker panels. and might even pray my stock KR rims that i only use in the winter anyways.

let me know if you have used it and what your outcome was. thanks.

With the plasti dip. I would be more worried about it coming off too easy rather then not coming off

Really? Its the Internet take it easy.

Ive read many other threads on plastidip.

Never heard any issues of it not coming off. And just stay away from high pressure, pressure washers and you should be fine..

Clean the surface well, soap water and rubbing alcohol then spray away..
Also heard wd40 has a reaction with it that makes it come off really easy.. But also pressure washer works well, with direct penetration to the surface.

I will be trying it in the future when it warms up a tad more.

So i have went ahead and made my biggest purchase of all. I have purchased a set of 37x1350R22 Nitto trail Grapplers from discount tire direct. i am having them shipped to Niagara Falls NY and picking them up friday. total cost 2262$

Kal tire ( the only supplier for Nitto) wanted $3900 for all four installed! HELL NO!

the 2262 plus tax is still way less and worth the savings to get over the border. NO DUTY on north american made goods! and just left with $260 for HST.

also purchased a set of Pacesetter Long tube Headers, off road Y pipe and flowmaster Force II exhaust (stainless steel)

all thats left now is a SCT 8900 programmer and my mods are completed!.

and just to add there is also a rough country 4-5" suspension lift. A rough country 3" torsion bar and AAL kit and a performance accessories 3" body lift with gap guards being installed as well.

all of which will go extremely well with my 4.88 gears with Detroit tru-trac locking in rear and 4.88 gears up front!

gonna be a gas pig! but the pigs love the mud!!!

pics in a week or two when done!

so we have got all the suspension work and gears all installed but now that we have tied up the loose ends with the body lift, my power door locks are acting like they are on a mission to pop out of the door.

they are possesed even with the key out.
anyone else had this problem before. It was great up till the body lift. could we have grounded out? pulled a ground off? the truck has been in a shop for 2 weeks so its not water from the windsheild.

Dealership said to charge the battery cause the low voltage might be causing it. Does that sound right?

thanks for help guys.

Erratic behavior can happen when the battery is very low but don't sound right for the battery to be low after only two weeks (guess if they had lights on ect... could be) charge it up and if no change the I'd look for a stretched wire grounding out from the lift.

Did you black out parts? I did the plastidip and posted here http://www.fordtough.ca/forums/showthread.php?t=11368 great stuff
