changed o2 sensor

i have a 97 ford f150 with a 4.2 and the mecanic told m,e that one back o2 sensor stoped working so i had them changed and the same problem came back i spent 200 bucks to change them both the front ones were changed to
one year ago so now dont know what to do they tell me it could be main computer but is it or another reason to spend more money at my expence

That sucks when you spend cash to fix a problem and then turn around and have it come back.

What sort of problem are you having that they would suggest replacing the O2 sensors ?

When the O2 sensors were replaced, did it fix the problem initially, and how long after they were replaced did the problem come back ??

the mecanic had the scanner on and watching the o2 sensors and one stoped working so i relaaced them both back one
now one back one stays at 5 when i race engine then it starts working thats what was happening before i changed them
milage on truck almost 253000 i only did about 40 kl and light came back so i went back to garage and we put scanner back on and i dont know what to do if i should just park this truck or not im tired of putting money in and getting no where its fustrating

now today truck was in garage again for 2.5 hours and still no go to find problem

Have they traced the wires back to see if there's a broken one that is only making occasional contact?

What's the DTC code it gives? And, what is the truck doing or not doing?

as soon as we spray air intake cleaner in the throttle body as the truck running the sensor reading goes to normal

Try a compression test. Check vacumm and exhaust for leaks. Check injector spray pattern. Check Fuel pressure. I get the feeling that your problem may be more mechanical than electronic.

i have spent over 300 bucks so far i think i will just leave it the way it is until it dies i wish these mo0tors did not take so long to change i would change it
