well finally a new truck

Heres my old one, I wouldn't have gotten rid of it for a million. But that old lady thought she had a million. And went through the red.

Clean looking ride, congrats.

The FX4 and Lariat badging has me confused though, I thought those were two distinct trim levels, but maybe that happened after 2003.

My first FX4 was an '04 that did not have any "Lariat" badging whatsoever.

This wheel looks a little beat to hell…

The FX4 in the Larit was the top of the line. Its real clean, did have a 3800$ accident in the bed. That was a month after the org owner had it. You cannot even tell, except if you look at the bed. I have to move it to the right a quarter of an inch this summer to line it up. Needed a truck this week and was pissed of looking. Don't like the moon roof though. Ive siliconed the crap out of the seal. Ill give it a good steam clean this summer, engine and under frame. Then spray under coat. Its been rust guarded.
Im going to strip and polish the rims, and level the front a lil. For the money the insurance gave me Im happy. It came with new 0 mile tires, new windshield had a lil crack, just need to get the cap.
Found one, just have to wait till the end of the month to pick it up. And its blk, so I don't have to send it for paint.
I did almost have a 03 Screw FX4 Loaded, but the dealer wouldn't hold it even with a deposit. Thanks all, but still miss the old one.

Very nice truck!

The FX4 was an upgrade package to any trim level before 2004, like the Super Duty's now. 2004+ it was it's own trim level. Like an XTR over an XLT now.

nice .. very nice

what type of cap do you want ?

I have a leer cap , an aluminum one - with the van style doors on the back

cap's nice but the doors are a little ruff - dent in one , some corrosion around the handle on the other

on my white truck it looked a bit like the local dog catcher's truck but it made loading easy as well as backing up to trailers - but you can't use it and the tailgate at the same time
-one of em has to go
